About the role: Justteachers are working with a forward‑thinking secondary school in Bury St Edmunds, who are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science specialist to join their thriving department. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high‑quality Science lessons across KS3–KS4 (and KS5 if applicable)
  • Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment that promotes curiosity and scientific thinking
  • Use a range of teaching strategies and practical activities to support progress in Biology, Chemistry and Physics
  • Assess, track and report on student progress, identifying areas for support and challenge
  • Maintain strong classroom management and uphold the school’s behaviour expectations

Pre‑requisites:

  • A qualified Science Teacher (ECTs and experienced teachers welcome)
  • Strong classroom management and the ability to inspire learners
  • Two education or school‑based references
  • A passion for Biology, Chemistry or Physics
  • Commitment to raising achievement and delivering outstanding lessons
  • Someone who is reliable, enthusiastic and a great team player
