About the role:
Justteachers is seeking a Newly Qualified Teacher with SEND experience to join a welcoming and inclusive school in the Burnley area on a long-term basis.
The full-time post is due to start in September 2026, with shortlisting currently taking place.
This nurturing school supports pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). The team is committed to providing a supportive environment where both staff and students can grow and succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Supporting pupils with SEND in both academic and personal development
- Working closely with experienced staff and mentors to build confidence and classroom practice
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be on track to achieve it
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND, either during training or in previous roles
- A strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and a willingness to learn
- Two education or school-based references
