About the role:
Justteachers is seeking a PMLD Teacher to join a vibrant specialist school in the Carnforth area on a long‑term basis.
The full‑time post is due to start in September 2026, with shortlisting currently taking place.
The school provides a highly nurturing and inclusive environment for pupils with profound and multiple learning disabilities, with a strong commitment to personalised learning, sensory‑based approaches, and ensuring every child can engage, communicate and thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering highly differentiated, sensory‑focused lessons for pupils with PMLD
- Leading and working alongside a skilled team of support staff to implement individual learning and care plans
- Supporting pupils with communication needs, physical needs and medical routines in a safe, positive environment
Pre‑requisites:
- Relevant teaching qualifications (QTS or equivalent)
- Proven experience teaching or supporting pupils with PMLD or complex needs
- Strong knowledge of sensory learning, communication approaches and PMLD‑specific strategies
- Two education or school‑based references
