About the role
Justteachers are looking for a KS4 English Teacher to join a nurturing SEMH specialist school in the Burnley area on a long-term basis. The full-time post is due to start as soon as possible, with shortlisting currently taking place.
This dedicated SEMH school is committed to providing a supportive and therapeutic learning environment, empowering students to develop both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering engaging English lessons tailored to KS4 students
- Supporting students with SEMH needs to achieve their academic and personal potential
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters confidence and resilience
Pre-requisites
- QTS or relevant teaching qualification
- Proven experience teaching English at KS4, ideally within an SEMH or SEND setting
- Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and strategies for supporting students with SEMH needs
- Two education or school-based references
