Justteachers are working with a Bradford based secondary school to appoint a Teaching Assistant working 7.45am – 3.45pm five days per week. The school require someone to start as soon as possible and will be looking at this becoming a permanent role. The school has an emphasis on promoting a culture of excellence within a caring and secure environment enriched with the values of discipline, mutual care and respect.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding support to enable students with additional needs including those with SEN to play a full and active part in the life of the school and to make outstanding progress in their learning.
  • Support the teacher in the classroom and in preparation for lessons.
  • Support children in their educational and social development.
  • Help develop programmes of learning activities and adapt appropriate materials.
  • Motivate and encourage students.

Qualifications

  • 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade 9 – 4/ A* – C.
  • Experience working in a school setting.
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with students and other adults.
  • Ability to work with pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis.
  • Two school based references.
