About the role: Justteachers is seeking a full-time PRU Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant pupil referral unit starting in June 2026 in the Bradford area on a long‑term basis. This supportive and structured setting is dedicated to re‑engaging secondary‑aged pupils with education, fostering positive behaviours, resilience, and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support secondary‑aged students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Assist in delivering tailored learning activities to re‑engage pupils and support academic progress
- Implement behaviour management strategies and promote positive relationships within the classroom
Pre‑requisites:
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent)
- Proven experience supporting secondary‑aged pupils, ideally within a PRU or alternative provision
- Strong knowledge of behaviour management strategies and SEMH support
- Two education or school‑based references
