Justteachers are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and supportive primary school team based in Bradford from September 2026. This is a full‑time opportunity with the potential to go long‑term. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a nurturing educational environment and is committed to helping children reach their full potential.
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across a range of subjects and activities. You’ll play a key role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, providing both one‑to‑one and group support, and helping to deliver engaging lessons that inspire young minds.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting the class teacher in delivering high‑quality lessons
- Assisting with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources
- Providing one‑to‑one or small group support to pupils who need additional help
- Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting the school’s values
- Helping to assess pupil progress and providing feedback to teachers
- Supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) where required
- Supervising pupils during break times, outings and school activities
- Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting
- A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate) is desirable
- A genuine passion for education and child development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A proactive, patient and caring approach
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
