About the role
Justteachers is seeking a Full-Time Autism Support Assistant to join a vibrant specialist school starting September 2026 in the Bradford area on a long‑term basis. Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Autism
- Supporting students with Speech, Language and Communication Needs who may be non‑verbal
- Assist with the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Support pupils with communication, social interaction and emotional regulation
- Work closely with teaching staff and therapists to deliver tailored learning strategies
- Foster a safe, engaging and supportive learning environment
Pre‑requisites
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare or special educational needs
- Proven experience supporting children, young people or adults with autism or additional needs
- Strong knowledge of support strategies for autism and behaviour management techniques
- 2 education or school‑based references from within the last 2 years
