About the role:

Justteachers is working in partnership with a specialist provision located just outside of Boston to recruit a full-time SEMH Teacher for a September 2026 start. This is a long-term, temporary to permanent position for the right candidate.
The setting supports pupils aged 7–16 with SEMH needs, alongside additional needs such as Autism, ADHD and communication difficulties. Many pupils have experienced disrupted education and may present with behaviours that challenge.
The provision delivers a broad and balanced curriculum, with teachers responsible for delivering core subjects (English, Maths and PSHE) at an appropriately differentiated level, alongside a strong focus on emotional regulation, engagement and re-integration into learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across core subjects to meet a wide range of abilities
  • Support pupils in overcoming barriers to learning linked to SEMH needs
  • Implement EHCP outcomes and personalized support strategies
  • Use consistent behaviour management and de-escalation techniques
  • Foster a structured, supportive and nurturing classroom environment
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches as needed
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral teams, and external professionals
  • Support pupils’ development in social skills, emotional regulation, and resilience

Pre-requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour
  • Ability to teach core subjects at a functional and differentiated level
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach
  • A resilient, patient and adaptable mindset
  • Two recent education-based references
