About the role:
Justteachers is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex learning difficulties in a specialist SEN school in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly supportive team where every day brings the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ development. The position is due to begin in September 2026, with flexibility for an earlier start for the right person.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom support for pupils with complex SEN and additional needs
- Assist with personal care when required
- Support pupils with communication, sensory, and emotional needs
- Encourage student independence and confidence
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Maintain safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all time
Pre-requisites:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Previous SEN school or care experience preferred
- Understanding of complex needs and challenging behaviour
- Calm and adaptable attitude
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
