About the role: Justteachers are seeking a proactive and compassionate SEN Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming KS3 SEN school. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting young people with additional needs while gaining valuable experience across different areas of the school. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning and supporting students throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cover lessons and supervise students during teacher absences
- Ensure students remain engaged with learning activities
- Support pupils with a variety of SEN needs and learning barriers
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff
- Assist with classroom routines and transitions around the school
- Maintain safeguarding and health & safety standards at all times
Pre-requisites:
- Experience working within education, care, youth work, or SEN environments
- Confident working with KS3 students with additional needs
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Flexible and reliable approach to work
- Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to apply for one
