About the role: Justteachers is seeking a Behaviour Sports Coach to join a vibrant specialist school in the Burnley area on a long‑term basis. The full‑time post is due to start in January 2026, with shortlisting currently taking place. The school is committed to supporting pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs, using physical activity, structured coaching and positive role‑modelling to help students build confidence, resilience and self‑regulation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering engaging sports and physical activity sessions that promote positive behaviour
- Supporting students with SEMH and behavioural needs, both in lessons and during unstructured time
- Working collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff to implement behaviour support plans
Pre‑requisites:
- Relevant coaching qualifications or experience in youth sports
- Proven experience supporting pupils with behavioural or SEMH needs
- Strong knowledge of behaviour management and positive reinforcement strategies
- Two education or school‑based references
