Justteachers are seeking a warm and enthusiastic Reception Class Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and forward-thinking primary school in Alcester. With a dedicated EYFS team and a well-equipped outdoor learning space, the school provides an ideal setting for children to explore, discover, and develop foundational skills in a joyful and supportive environment. This full-time role involves working closely with the Reception class teacher to deliver engaging activities, support individual learning needs, and help maintain a safe and stimulating classroom. You’ll play a key role in phonics, early numeracy, and social development, while also supporting children with additional needs. The position is available immediately and offers long-term potential for the right candidate.
This role is to start in September 2026.
Key Responsibilities- Support the delivery of EYFS curriculum through play-based and structured activities
- Assist with phonics, early maths, and language development
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs
- Help with classroom setup, tidying, and resource preparation
- Observe and record pupil progress, feeding back to the teacher
- Support pupils during snack time, outdoor play, and transitions
- Experience working with children in EYFS (school or nursery setting)
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or Teaching Assistance
- Understanding of child development and safeguarding practices
- Friendly, patient, and proactive approach to learning support
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Availability for full-time work, Monday to Friday
