The Just Recruitment Group Ltd is currently recruiting for an Electrical Safety Test Engineer for their client based on the outskirts of Stansted, Essex. The Electrical Safety Test Engineer will be working with their client base from start to finish in helping test, evaluate and report write for their products. Our client is seeking someone who is comfortable working face to face with clients and has a good understanding of electrical safety testing to IEC 62368 standards.

Working within the site, near Stansted, the test engineer would work closely with clients to evaluate their products and documentation to ensure they meet specific requirements of the applicable test standards. The role will also involve working across all departments, providing technical support to operations, sales, and marketing.

Required skills and experience:

  • Relevant Electrical/Electronic formal qualifications
  • Good IT Skills, experience with Excel, Word and data retention systems.
  • Experience of working in accordance with a Quality Management System
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and other members of the team.
  • Experience and knowledge in one or more electrical safety standards e.g., IEC/EN 62368/61558/UL62368/61010

Desirable:

  • Background in product safety testing
  • Experience in safety critical function design/development of electrical products
  • Understanding of different certification schemes and processes
  • Experience of generating test reports for customers and certification purposes.
  • Ability to fault find down to component level
  • Experience working in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory
