Just Recruitment is excited to be partnering with a successful and growing company in Witham to recruit a Site Manager. The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.
This role oversees health and safety, quality assurance, progress reporting and handover. The Site Manager works closely with internal stakeholders including production, finance and transport to support projects ensuring programme and contractual needs are met.
Duties include:
- Ensure effective and efficient use of departmental resources to meet contractual obligations, budget requirements and strategic objectives
- Responsible for the management of Health & Safety on project sites and ensuring the company always meets its statutory obligations
- Organise & monitor site labour levels
- Monitoring & reporting progress of works and ensuring agreed programmes are achieved
- Prepare RAMS and submit to contractors
- Provide regular toolbox talks
- Undertake QA checks as works proceed to ensure standards are achieved
- Inspect finished works and present to contractors for handover
- Participate in pre-contract and site progress meetings
- Attend internal project handover meetings
Key Competencies:
- Minimum 5 years' experience of managing subcontract installations for tier one subcontractors, ideally in the fenestration industry
- Excellent working knowledge of construction industry
- CSCS xehkeey Card Holder
- Able to interpret construction, architect and working drawings
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualified preferred (training can be provided)
- Working knowledge of CDM Regulations
- Able to build relationships with co-workers, customers and suppliers
- Competent user of Microsoft Office
- Commercially aware
- Able to prioritise workload and work independently
- Good interpersonal and organisational skills
- Full driving license
