Just Recruitment is proud to be supporting a well-established and growing business in Witham in their search for an HGV Class 2 Driver. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the products are transported safely and efficiently from the factory to customers across the UK. A valid Moffatt License, or experience using a Moffatt are highly desirable.This is a multidrop delivery role, with 6-10 deliveries a day dependent on size and location, it involves a large amount of city driving, and early starts from HQ in Witham. You may be asked to stay out overnight on some occasions and if this is required, you will be provided a "night out allowance" Duties include: Provide customers with an accurate and efficient delivery, maintaining excellent levels of customer service.Loading/ securing and unloading products ensuring it is secure for transportation. Some manual handling is expected in this role.Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules.Inspect vehicles daily for safety and mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks taking appropriate action where necessary.Adhere to traffic laws and regulations at all times. Report any accident or damages as soon as possible.Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance and any other documentation required.Attend any and all relevant training as required, ensuring you remain fully equipped to perform your role.Maintain excellent communication with the internal transport team and other drivers.Person specification: HGV Class 2 licence or (above).Valid (in date) driver CPC and Digital Tachograph.Moffett Licence highly desirable.HGV multidrop experience is an advantage but not essential.Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.Strong communication skills and a professional attitude towards customers and colleagues.
