The Just Recruitment Group Ltd is currently recruiting for a CNC Miller for an established and growing company in Halstead.

Rotating shift pattern of one-week earlies (07:00 - 15:00) and one-week lates (15:00 - 23:00). To begin with, the successful candidate will work on their day shift, getting used to the work, the machines that they have and working with everyone in the machining team. After this initial period (no more than 3-months), the successful candidate will switch onto the rotating shift pattern.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC Mills (Fanuc Control, HAAS VF or UMC machines) to perform various machining operations.
  • Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machine set-up and production methods.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure parts are produced according to specifications.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
  • Work closely with the Inspection team to assure dimensional accuracy of product.

Skills and qualifications:

  • Experience or recent qualifications in CNC Milling or similar role, preferably working with castings.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of logic controllers and CNC programming, preferably Fanuc controls.
  • Excellent team working and communication skills.
  • Able to work unsupervised in a high-pressure manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to confidently discuss design options and their influence on part manufacture and cost.

The company offers weekly pay and 23 days paid holiday per year, plus bank holidays on top. Shift allowance paid on late shift.
