The Just Recruitment Group is currently recruiting for an R&D Technician for a manufacturer based in Braintree, Essex. The successful applicant will participate in the design and development of new products and ensure the completion of work for the design and/or modification of products.
Role will involve:
- Design and development of new products: take note of the client's specifications and participate in their analysis, produce all the technical documents necessary for development
- Ensure feasibility/maintain vigilance on capability of the industrialisation of the project, create models and prototypes, etc.
- Contribute to modifications and adaptations of existing products
- Implementing instructions, item sheets as well as technical specifications of subcontracted products/components
- Contribute to the production of technical files as well as those given to the client
- Write the reports of investigation and qualification tests that have been carried out
- Take charge of projects that do not require interaction with the customer and following a known design
- Contribute to the creation of digital simulations of new products in order to accelerate the product investigation phase in their area of expertise.

- Knowledge of materials, their properties and constraints: synthetic, ferrous and non-ferrous materials

Qualifications: Evidence of higher education is essential, relevant technical degree plus 2 years experience in industrial product design.
