Just Padel is the UK's fastest-growing padel operator, with live clubs in Preston, Blackpool, and Bolton, and an aggressive expansion roadmap across the North. We're looking for a Club Manager to take full ownership of our Blackpool site — a hands-on operator who can run the club end-to-end, grow our membership base, and build commercial relationships that drive long-term revenue.
The Role
As Club Manager, you'll be the face of Just Padel Blackpool. You'll own the day-to-day running of the club, lead the on-site team, look after our members and casual players, and develop the commercial side of the business through sponsorships, corporate clients, and local partnerships. This is a senior, autonomous role suited to someone who thrives on responsibility and wants to build something — not just maintain it.
Key Responsibilities
- Club Operations
- Oversee the full daily running of the club, including bookings, court scheduling, maintenance, cleanliness, and customer experience
- Ensure the site operates to brand standards at all times and is consistently match-ready
- Manage opening/closing routines, health and safety compliance, and supplier relationships
- Team Management
- Lead, schedule, and develop front-of-house staff, coaches, and support team
- Set performance standards and run regular team check-ins
- Build a service culture that turns first-time players into long-term members
- Client & Member Experience
- Be the senior point of contact for members, league players, and corporate clients
- Own retention, resolve escalations, and drive NPS through proactive service
- Develop programming — leagues, tournaments, socials, coaching tiers — to keep the club active seven days a week
- Commercial & Sponsorships
- Identify, pitch, and close local and regional sponsorship deals (court sponsors, branded events, partner brands)
- Build relationships with corporate clients for team bookings, away days, and B2B memberships
- Work with central marketing on local campaigns, events, and community engagement
- Performance & Reporting
- Own the club's P&L: court utilisation, membership growth, F&B (where applicable), and ancillary revenue
- Report weekly on KPIs to the central HVM/Just Padel leadership team
- Spot opportunities to improve yield, reduce cost, and increase lifetime value per member
About You
- Proven experience managing a sports club, gym, leisure venue, hospitality site, or member-led business
- Commercially sharp — comfortable selling, negotiating, and building B2B relationships
- A natural people manager who leads from the front
- Highly organised, with strong operational instincts and an eye for detail
- Energetic, accountable, and excited by the pace of a fast-scaling brand
- Padel knowledge is a plus but not essential — passion for sport and customer experience matters more
What We Offer
- Competitive base salary plus performance-linked bonus
- Genuine autonomy to run your site like an owner
- Clear progression as Just Padel scales nationally and into franchise
- Staff court access and member benefits
- The chance to shape one of the UK's most exciting sports brands from the ground up
Location: Blackpool Reports to: Just Padel Operations Lead / HVM Group
