JustOT are looking to recruit a band 6 Community Occupational Therapist for a locum position with our client in Leeds.
The pay for this position is GBP20-GBP23 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.
Essential Experience:
β Minimum 2 years post registration.
β Clinical experience working with Adults β ideally looking for a wide range of experience e.g. covering older people, frailty, falls, dementia, MSK, Neuro (PD, MS), medical, ortho.
β To be able to independently hold, prioritise and manage caseload, long arm advice and supervision will be offered.
β Awareness/experience of MCA and unwise decisions.
β Basic knowledge of equipment provision, aids and adaptations.
β Car Driver, access to own car with business insurance, willing to commute to and across hub area.
β Offering full-time hours for a minimum of 3 months, Mon-Friday β part-time hours may be considered for right applicant.
β Evidence of relevant and recent CPD.
Desirable Experience:
β 3 years experience.
β Community experience.
β Waiting lists for long term conditions.
β Hospital discharges, Rapids, prevention of admission.
β Experience working with MDT and delegation to non-registered workforce.
β Knowledge of holistic assessment including pressure management, nutrition and hydration.
β Awareness/experience of falls prevention & management.
β Able to take clinical observations (BP, O2 sats, HR, Resp rate, lying/standing BP), use of NEWS 2.
β Knowledge of deteriorating patient signs and symptoms.
β Knowledge of palliative care/RESPECT.
β Awareness of role of Neighbourhood teams and the nature of the work.
β Previous experience of delivering rehabilitation of meal prep, personal cares.
β Flexibility across teams.
β Use of System 1/electronic records
β Student supervision/practice educator training.
Successful candidates must hold a degree in occupational therapy and be HCPC registered.
