The opportunity

We're building the AI home assistant that will manage every aspect of your home; from the moment you move in, forever. Jay, our AI agent, already helps thousands of movers navigate energy, insurance, broadband, and home services. You'll be building the playbook that the industry will study in five years.

Why this matters now

The home services market is a £1 trillion opportunity undergoing a once-in-a-generation platform shift. Comparison sites had their moment. Marketplaces had theirs. The next wave is agentic: AI that doesn't just show you options, but acts on your behalf.

We have contractual access to a material part of UK home moves. We have deep partnerships with the biggest names in property. We have a working AI agent.

What we are looking for

We’re looking for a mid-level Product Designer who combines exceptional visual craft with strong product thinking and the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-moving startup environment. This role is ideal for a designer who thrives on ownership, cares deeply about quality, and wants to grow alongside a collaborative, feedback-driven team.

You’ll play a critical role in shaping our mobile-first experiences, evolving our design system, and pushing the boundaries of AI-powered product design beyond conventional chat interfaces.

What you’ll do

  • Deliver high-fidelity, mobile-first experiences with exceptional craft across layout, typography, color, and interaction, translating complex product and AI concepts into intuitive, elegant flows.
  • Contribute to and evolve the design system by creating and documenting scalable components and patterns, ensuring consistency and partnering closely with engineering for seamless implementation.
  • Own ambiguous problem spaces end-to-end—defining scope, prioritizing effectively, and balancing speed with quality from exploration through execution.
  • Design innovative AI-powered experiences beyond chat, including embedded, assistive, and proactive interaction patterns, while prototyping with modern tools and staying ahead of emerging AI design trends.
  • Lead lightweight research efforts, synthesize actionable insights, and advocate for user needs while aligning with business and technical constraints.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with a low-ego, high-ownership mindset - seeking and giving feedback, iterating quickly, and contributing to a strong, growth-oriented team culture.

About you

  • You have 3–5 years of experience designing digital products, in mobile-first and/or consumer-facing environments.
  • You have a portfolio of well-crafted, impactful work that solves real problems for real people, with:
  • Strong visual design and UI craft
  • Thoughtful mobile UX
  • Experience working with or contributing to a design system
  • Experience working on and contributing to consumer facing digital experiences
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and deliver high-quality outcomes end to end
  • You are comfortable designing for web surfaces including desktop and mobile formats
  • Practical experience designing AI-powered product experiences
  • Comfortable running user research and communicating insights clearly
  • Strong communication skills and a growth mindset

You might be right if

  • You've contributed to or shipped live products out in the world, in B2C or B2B2C environments and seen your work impact user behavior.
  • You care deeply about why users convert, not just how screens look.
  • You’re exceptionally fluent in Figma but equally comfortable discussing trade-offs, metrics, and user behavior.
  • You’ve worked closely with PMs and Engineers and know how to influence without authority.
  • You’re curious about AI, not as a buzzword, but as a design material that changes interaction models and the way your work and the tools you use as a designer.
  • You thrive in fast-moving environments where priorities evolve and judgment matters more than process.

You’re probably not right if

  • You want narrowly defined tasks with limited context.
  • You prefer polishing individual screens over shaping end-to-end experiences.
  • You’re uncomfortable with ambiguity or fast iteration.
  • You see commercial outcomes as “someone else’s problem.”
  • You’re not interested in how AI is reshaping product experiences.

How we work

  • Empowered teams: Designers are problem-solvers, not order-takers. You’ll be expected to question briefs, reframe problems, and propose better solutions.
  • Design-centric: Design leads the experience. Strong craft, clear rationale, and user empathy are non-negotiable.
  • AI-native: We design for a world where agents act, recommend, and automate. Designers are expected to think systemically about this shift.
  • Build out loud: Work is shared early and often. Critique is a tool for improvement, not judgment.
  • Velocity obsessed: Speed matters. We iterate, learn, and improve continuously.

The details

  • Competitive salary
  • Hybrid in London
  • Reports to the Design Lead, working closely with Product, Engineering & AI
  • You’ll collaborate with a high-caliber team with experience across Uber, Apple, Match Group, Microsoft, Google, and Meta
