What is the purpose of the Assembly & Fulfilment Operative?
To ensure orders are assembled, processed, and shipped accurately and on time working in a fast‑paced daily shipping environment. This involves assembling multiple documents into file folders and boxes, picking, packing, and preparing items for dispatch, as well as maintaining accurate inventory and records. Responsibilities may also include using IT systems for labelling and shipping and ensuring compliance with company procedures.
What does a normal day look like?
- Order Fulfilment: Picking and packing items according to customer orders.
- Dispatch Preparation: Assembling and preparing orders for shipment, including creating labels and ensuring proper documentation.
- Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate stock levels and assisting with stock takes.
- Manual Handling: Spending extended periods of time on your feet, manually handling parcels or using onsite equipment as needed.
- Operating Systems: Using IT systems for order processing, labelling, and tracking shipments.
- Quality Control: Ensuring all items are in good condition and packed securely.
- Adhering to Procedures: Following company guidelines and safety protocols.
