A managed service provider in Borehamwood is looking for an IT apprentice. You will be responsible for providing technical support for the company’s customers with the aim of fixing all incidents or escalating to the Senior Engineering team if required. You will also be required to perform a variety of proactive tasks which will help maximize the customer’s up-time and perform root-cause analysis.
Duties:
- Dealing with incoming incidents in a professional, courteous manner over the phone and via e-mail.
- Take ownership of incidents and manage them in a logical and methodical manner.
- Taking responsibility for the end-to-end management of incidents in your queue.
- Proactively keeping the customer informed of progress.
- Accurately log incidents by categorising and prioritising them in line with service operations procedures.
- Conduct full and thorough diagnostics with end-users to enable first point of contact fault resolution.
- Monitor the status and progress using the provided incident logging system for assigned incidents and workflow tasks.
About you:
To be an IT Support Apprentice, you must be a tech enthusiast with 5 GCSEs (ideally A* – C, 4-9) including Maths and English. This 16-month Apprenticeship has a salary of £18,000 / £20,000 per year. Your training will include gaining internationally recognised Level 3 IT qualifications.
