This client is a lucrative investment with years of history. Your role will be to engage with the users. You will use your Windows 10 & 11, Microsoft Office 365, web browser, AI tool and mobile device knowledge to provide IT technical support. You will need excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure. You will be the first point of call providing software and hardware support to users in their London, Bristol, Leeds and Edinburgh offices. You will support over 150 users and be part of a team of 5 engineers. You will be involved in installing software and hardware on relevant machines, setting up equipment and taking responsibility for first line support calls. Alongside other members of our IT department you will develop and maintain specialist knowledge, using good interpersonal skills to become an effective member of the IT support team.
Experience / Key Skills
- Experience in first line client-facing IT Support
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (365) applications
- Basic Knowledge of Printers
- Knowledge of Smart Phone & Tablet device technology (Samsung/iPhone/iPad/Remarkable)
- Desktop operating systems experience (Windows 11) and AI tools like Copilot/ChatGPT
- Knowledge of web browsers (Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari)
- Intelligent, quick logical mind. Ability to analyse and troubleshoot a problem arriving at a logical solution
- Previous Helpdesk experience in a similar role in a corporate environment would be advantageous
- Strong analytical thinking and a problem solving mind-set
- Strong customer focus and team working skills
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and keen to learn
- Have an initiative and resourceful approach
- Good communication skills (both written and oral) are paramount
- The ability to balance working under pressure with a need to escalate and respond to client demands
- Polite and courteous with an ability to liaise effectively and build positive professional relationships with the end users
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt when under pressure
- Provide 1st line support for PC Hardware and Software and mobile device queries
- Ensure IT Support calls are being resolved in an efficient and effective manner
- Responsible for documentation of work
Training will be provided. Please ensure you have a minimum of 2 years experience in desktop support.
