Peter Alexander is not your typical fashion retailer — we’re about fun, comfort, self-expression and bringing joy to sleepwear lovers everywhere. A household favourite in Australia for over 35 years, the brand is now expanding in the UK, and we’re looking for a Visual Merchandiser to join our Retail Field team. Reporting into the Regional Manager and working closely with the Australian Visual Merchandising team, this role will support our Westfield White City, Westfield Stratford and Bluewater Kent stores. You will bring the Peter Alexander brand to life by executing visual merchandising direction across stores to maximise sales, while coaching store teams to deliver consistent and effective VM execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Visual Execution & Brand Standards
    • Execute in-store and window displays in line with VM briefs and brand guidelines set by the Australian VM team.
    • Maintain consistent brand presentation across all stores.
    • Make minor store-specific adjustments where required, while remaining aligned to brand principles.
    • Maintain VM guidelines, signage, props, displays and VM resource libraries.
  • Driving Commercial Outcomes
    • Use sales data and store insights to adjust layouts, store flow and product placement within the scope of the VM brief.
    • Identify sales opportunities and highlight areas of underperformance, recommending actions to Store Managers and the Regional Manager.
    • Build strong relationships with Centre Management to monitor and influence Centre Rankings.
  • Store Visits & Training
    • Conduct regular store visits to ensure accurate execution of visual standards.
    • Deliver VM training plans, walkthroughs and checklists for Store Managers and teams.
    • Coach team members to build capability in executing VM direction confidently and consistently.
  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Work with the Regional Manager to plan store visit priorities and VM support requirements.
    • Partner with the Retail Manager during store visits to support training and coaching.
    • Share store insights with Support Office teams including Merchandise and Planning to support business decisions.
    • Collaborate regularly with the Australian VM team to align on campaign launches, briefs and floor moves.
    • Contribute to Post-Season meetings by providing feedback on product presentation, timelines and store execution.
  • Operational Responsibilities
    • Manage VM materials, tools, suppliers and logistics within the UK.
    • Support the set-up and execution of new store openings using approved VM direction.
    • Use the Flagship platform to manage floorplans, money mapping and execution accuracy.

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience in retail visual merchandising, with strong merchant skills and a clear understanding of brand presentation and product storytelling.
  • Proven ability to execute brand direction and maintain high visual standards that deliver a consistent customer experience.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to train, coach and influence store teams.
  • Organised, detail-oriented and commercially aware, using sales figures to guide decisions and adjustments within the brief.
  • Collaborative and proactive, comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, able to motivate, influence and develop others.
  • Experienced in delivering VM training plans and checklists to support capability growth within teams.
  • Efficient and productive, with strong time management skills and the ability to manage priorities across multiple locations.
  • Ability to travel between Westfield White City, Westfield Stratford and Bluewater.
