Purpose

We have a great opportunity to join our Business Systems team as a Dynamics 365 Developer on a permanent basis. The role will develop, support and maintain software solutions in line with the Company’s architectural vision, and in accordance with departmental standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bespoke applications: Build bespoke applications using industry‑standard tools and technologies aligned with target architecture.
  • Technical documentation: Produce and maintain clear, high‑quality technical documentation.
  • Quality assurance: Perform peer reviews to ensure code and documentation meet quality standards.
  • Continuous improvement: Support continuous improvement of code, processes, and project delivery.
  • Service Desk requests: Provide second‑ and third‑line support for Service Desk requests.
  • Agile techniques: Engage actively in Agile ceremonies and help promote Agile practices.
  • Release and deployment: Prepare release materials and assist in deployment processes to ensure reliability across environments.
  • Maintain competence: Maintain personal technical skills and pursue ongoing development.

Example of Key Activities

  • Participate in requirements analysis and story refinement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—including Developers, Testers, DevOps Engineers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Business Users—in an Agile environment to deliver software solutions, designs, and architecture.
  • Actively engage in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand‑ups, planning, and retrospectives.
  • Write clean, scalable .NET code following SOLID principles.
  • Develop unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and coverage.
  • Deploy applications through DTAP environments, leveraging CI/CD practices where possible.
  • Revise, refactor, and debug code as needed.
  • Document code thoroughly using comments and wiki articles.
  • Provide expert technical support for applications.
  • Participate in cross‑team initiatives like communities of practice.

Experience, Skills and Knowledge

  • Demonstrable skills and experience in Microsoft Dynamics CRM (including 365) is essential.
  • Proven experience delivering solutions using one or more of the following:
    • C# and VB.Net within a .NET framework and Azure
    • DevOps practices, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery using tools such as TFS, Azure DevOps, MSBuild, and Release Management
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft development, testing, and project technologies across full project lifecycles, including development methodologies, release strategies, and configuration management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in Agile environments, participating in sprint deliveries and Agile ceremonies, with familiarity in Agile, XP, and DevOps practices such as TDD, BDD, and SOLID principles.
  • Experience mentoring team members to enhance individual and collective capabilities.
  • Aptitude for understanding and managing complex systems and concepts.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and adaptability to new technologies.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with an understanding of appropriate usage.
  • A mathematical background is desirable.
  • Essential: Computer science‑related qualification.
