The Enterprise Risk Manager (ERMF) role supports the development and continual enhancement of the Group’s risk management framework, enabling its effective adoption across the Chief Risk Officer organisation and wider business. Contributing to the delivery of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) by strengthening processes, coordinating Enterprise Risk activities, and promoting robust controls alongside proactive risk management.

Key Responsibilities:- You will support the Group Risk team in developing, educating and embedding Enterprise risk management frameworks, practices, and Risk culture within Just that support our risk appetite and strategic goals.
- You will provide trusted advice to the Director of Enterprise Risk, the Group Chief Risk Officer, Executives and senior management on implications of operational risk in the wider business context.
- You will act as an ERMF risk partner to Group Risk and risk owners and support associated risk reporting for relevant parts of the business and Group entities.
- You will be responsible for providing pro-active operational risk advice, support and challenge to Group Risk and risk owners, with a particular focus on oversight of management of the risks in line with the ERMF.
- You will support the delivery of the Group’s Internal Model for Operational Risk through the development and maintenance of operational risk scenarios with risk owners and other key stakeholders.
- You will ensure the Group’s risk management system of record aligns with the ERMF and in supporting the business in the identification, assessment and reporting of risks at departmental level.
- When needed, you will engage with risk management system of record suppliers and ensure that you are sufficiently aware of its functionality to propose and oversee improvements as required.
- You will take responsibility for ensuring you comply with the company’s procedures, policies, guidelines and reporting requirements as well as any relevant regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Externally recognised specialised risk management qualification or equivalent experience is essential.
- Proven track record of practical experience of implementing and/or operating risk management frameworks and processes.
- Significant breadth of experience and knowledge of life and pensions/ Financial Services.
- Experience of risk support in change and implementation of large transformation initiatives.
- Commercially aware and committed to internal and external customer service.
- Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills, including influencing, negotiation, presentation and report writing.
- Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, practices and their application, including enterprise and operational risk.
- Ability to identify emerging risk issues and to drive understanding and management.
- Good understanding of regulatory context for operation of risk management, including Solvency 2 requirements and PRA/ FCA expectations.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking ability, able to interpret information from a number of sources and draw together the ‘big picture’ and bring a strategic perspective.
- Ability to inspire trust, influence others, promote collaboration and motivate.
