Purposeoftherole

TheFinancialReportingAccountantwillsupportthedeliveryofhigh-qualityfinancialreportingandtechnicalaccountingactivitiesacrosstheGroup.WorkingcloselywiththeSeniorReportingManagerandkeystakeholders,therolewillprovidetechnicalaccountingexpertise,supporttheimplementationofaccountingchange,andhelpensurereportingremainsaccurate,compliant,andfitforagrowingbusiness.

KeyResponsibilities

Adviseontheaccountingtreatmentofnewproductdevelopments,complexinvestments,corporatetransactions,leases,impairments,andprovisions.

PartnerwithcolleaguesacrossFinance,Actuarial,Investments,Risk,Retail,andDefinedBenefitsteamstodelivertimelyandeffectiveaccountingguidance.

Monitordevelopmentswithinthebusinessandexternalreportinglandscape,assessingtheirimpactonfinancialreportingrequirements.

SupportGroupFinanceteamswithtechnicalaccountingadvice,ensuringtransactionsareaccuratelyrecorded,reported,anddisclosed.

Supportcontinuousimprovementinitiativesthatstrengthenreportingprocesses,controls,andgovernance.

Whatwearelookingfor

Qualifiedaccountant(ACA,ACCA,CIMAorequivalent)withsignificantpost-qualificationexperience.

Strongtechnicalaccountingandfinancialreportingexperience.

Experienceworkingwithintheinsuranceindustry.

IFRS17financialreportingexperiencewouldbeanadvantage.
