We are looking for a proactive, experienced and personable People Partner to join our busy People team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety within their role and is passionate about delivering an exceptional colleague experience whilst supporting our leaders and business as we continue to grow.
Working closely with the Chief Customer & People Officer, you will provide practical HR advice and support to leaders and colleagues across the business, whilst helping to deliver a range of People initiatives across employee relations, recruitment, learning and development, colleague engagement, culture, reward and benefits, policies and HR projects.
This is a hands‑on role which offers the opportunity to make a real difference across the employee lifecycle.
You'll build strong relationships with colleagues and managers, coach and support leaders through people‑related matters, and play an important role in shaping our culture and ways of working.
You'll also oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the HR function, working alongside the People & Office Assistant to coordinate payroll administration and office facilities.
We're looking for someone who is confident working across both day to day operational and more strategic aspects of HR, enjoys building trusted relationships and takes pride in providing a high‑quality, responsive and commercially minded People service.
Key accountabilities include
- Business Partnering & Employee Relations
- Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers and colleagues across the employee lifecycle.
- Build strong relationships across the business and act as a trusted partner to leaders.
- Support disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management processes.
- Support organisational change and people‑related projects.
- Ensure HR practices and policies are consistent, fair and compliant with employment legislation and Company policies.
- Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage recruitment activity from approval through to appointment.
- Review and continuously improve our recruitment processes and candidate experience.
- Coordinate onboarding and develop effective induction programmes.
- Learning, Development & Engagement
- Organise Lunch & Learn sessions and apprenticeship opportunities.
- Support colleague engagement, wellbeing, social and recognition initiatives.
- Help bring our Company values and culture to life.
- Work with the Chief Customer & People Officer to deliver key People initiatives and projects.
- Support the development of HR systems and digital processes.
- Produce HR reports and people metrics.
- Ensure colleague records and HR documentation remain accurate and GDPR compliant.
- Reward, Benefits & Payroll
- Support the review and administration of colleague benefits.
- Coordinate payroll changes with our external payroll provider.
- Support pension and benefits administration.
- Respond to colleague queries and ensure accurate HR and payroll records.
- Office & Health & Safety
- Work alongside the People & Office Assistant to support the smooth running of the HR function and office environment ensuring a safe, welcoming and efficient workplace.
About you
You'll be an experienced HR professional who enjoys working closely with people and making a difference.
You'll be confident providing advice to managers, handling sensitive employee relations matters and helping leaders develop their people management skills.
You'll ideally have
- Previous experience in a HR Business Partner, People Partner or similar HR generalist role.
- A good understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Experience supporting employee relations, including absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance matters.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The confidence to influence, coach and challenge managers appropriately.
- A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
- A proactive, positive and collaborative approach.
- Good Microsoft Office and HR systems experience.
CIPD qualification or working towards this would be advantageous, although we're equally interested in the right experience, approach and attitude.
Previous experience within the travel industry is not essential.
What matters most is your ability to build trusted relationships, provide great people support and make things happen.
