The PSR Group is seeking an experienced and proactive Web Platform Manager to support and optimise online performance across our two retail brands - Just for Pets and Pets & Friends. This position operates on a hybrid working arrangement, with three days per week based in the Stafford office and two days per week working remotely from home.
This position will be responsible for delivering effective site merchandising, promotional execution, and online trading performance across multiple e-commerce platforms. The role will also ensure a consistent and customer‑centric omni‑channel experience, aligned with Group strategy and commercial priorities.
This role requires substantial experience in multi‑site e‑commerce management and proven capability in supporting or managing platform transitions, particularly BigCommerce.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage Group‑wide digital trading plans to deliver commercial targets and associated KPIs across both brands.
- Lead the execution of acquisition channel strategies to ensure effective traffic generation, ROAS improvement, and digital marketing performance.
- Oversee online inventory management including new product development onboarding, listing optimisation, and maintaining accurate product data.
- Own all elements of site merchandising and functionality; ensure continuity of existing features and support future development including enhancements such as cross‑selling and product recommendation tools.
- Optimise on‑site navigation, search functionality, CRO initiatives, and product review generation across two online platforms.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to maintain strong product availability and with fulfilment teams to support efficient, profitable despatch operations.
- Utilise data, reporting, and analytics to inform digital trading decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Produce weekly reporting and deliver actionable insight into performance trends, competitor activity, conversion opportunities, and site optimisation.
- Contribute to ongoing development and technical enhancement of Group e‑commerce platforms, including involvement in Shopify to BigCommerce migration and related integration projects.
Skills and experience
- Demonstrable experience in multi‑site e‑commerce operations within a retail environment.
- Proven experience with BigCommerce, including hands‑on work configuring stores, managing product catalogs, customizing themes, and optimising site performance
- Strong commercial understanding with proven success in online trading and digital performance management.
- Extensive knowledge of website usability, customer experience, digital marketing, and online merchandising best practice.
- Experience with relevant digital tools and platforms, including Google Analytics, Power BI, and CMS environments.
- Practical experience with BigCommerce, including platform migration or transition exposure.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in CRO, SEO principles, and performance‑driven decision making.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced business environment with significant growth ambitions.
- High level of proficiency in Excel and a willingness to continuously develop skills in line with industry change.
- Interest in the pet sector and our diverse product range is desirable.
