Role Description This is a full-time, remote Family Lawyer role. The Family Lawyer will manage a caseload involving divorce, separation, financial remedies, cohabitation issues, child arrangements, and related family law disputes. Day-to-day responsibilities include advising clients, drafting and reviewing legal documents, preparing correspondence, negotiating settlements, and representing clients in remote hearings and conferences where required. The role also involves legal research, case strategy planning, and collaboration with colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality service. Qualifications Solicitor, Legal Executive or equivalent, with demonstrable experience in all aspects of family law Preferably a m ediator, collaborative lawyer or Resolution Together practitioner Commitment to an NCDR practice and Resolution principles Strong skills in legal drafting and document preparation, including agreements, court applications, statements, and client correspondence. Proficient in legal research, case analysis, and application of relevant family law statutes, case law, and procedural rules. Excellent client communication skills, including the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly, manage expectations, and handle sensitive matters with discretion. Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage a caseload, prioritise tasks, and meet court and client deadlines. Confidence with using legal practice management software, secure document sharing tools, and video conferencing platforms. Strong negotiation and advocacy skills, with experience in NCDR processes. Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and adherence to professional regulatory standards. Prior experience in a specialist family law practice or similar setting.
