About this role
As an Accounting & Insights Manager for our UK market—our largest and most respected region—you will:
- Lead by driving end-to-end financial reporting and statutory compliance.
- Deliver high-quality insights that shape senior stakeholder decisions while managing a dedicated team of three to four professionals.
- Care about team growth, fostering a collaborative environment where everyone can succeed.
These are some of the key components to the position:
- Drive the end-to-end Record To Report (R2R) period-end close for the UK market, ensuring accuracy and adherence to key performance indicators.
- Review annual statutory financial statements and coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely, compliant submissions.
- Deliver high-quality financial insights and actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders through detailed variance analysis.
- Lead the transformation of financial operations by championing automation and digital reporting tools to enhance scalability.
- Proactively mitigate financial risks by reviewing internal controls, data integrity, and exception handling processes.
- Act as the primary finance contact for Global functions including Tax and Treasury, providing expert guidance on accounting treatments.
- Coach and develop a team of R2R professionals, promoting a culture of analytical curiosity and technical excellence.
What will you bring to the team?
- Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA) with professional experience in financial accounting or audit within matrixed environments.
- Proven ability to lead and develop accounting teams, focusing on performance coaching and career progression.
- Strong technical expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and a track record of leading successful period-end closes.
- Advanced skills in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and financial analysis to synthesize data for business decision-making.
- Proactive mindset with an interest in using data analytics tools like Power BI or SQL to drive process efficiency.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across Finance, Tech, and business leadership.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage day-to-day operations while contributing to large-scale transformation initiatives.
