About this role
At the JET Platform Engineering department, we are looking for someone who can help us create an exceptional developer experience and take our developer platform to the next level. We are building the next generation of our Platform Engineering and we need an experienced and talented developer. Someone who can swim fast, react and adapt. These are some of the key components to the position:
- Planning and developing new engineer-facing products and features
- Building robust and scalable software components and services using Python
- Designing and managing cloud infrastructure and automation for high availability
- Optimizing applications to maximize speed and scalability
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including runbooks
- Collaborating with global team members and stakeholders
- Taking a flexible, proactive approach and participating in Agile teams
- Supporting and maintaining high availability within a SaaS environment
What will you bring to the team?
- Hands-on experience in production environments as a Software Developer and DevOps/Platform Engineer
- Strong production experience with Python and software design patterns (SOLID, DRY)
- Expertise in AWS (or similar cloud providers), Containerization and Kubernetes
- Deep understanding of RESTful API or GraphQL API design and development
- Strong experience with GIT and CI/CD tooling (Github Actions, Gitlab, Argo CD, Azure Devops)
- Experience monitoring systems in production (ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, CloudWatch)
- Strong drive for application and performance testing
- Strong knowledge of web architecture and high availability support
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug and optimize complex code
- Innovative and exploratory mindset with drive to learn and offer new perspectives
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative, global team environment
- Experience with Container Orchestration platforms like ECS
- Experience with Serverless technologies such as AWS Lambdas
