About this role: This role is open to both London or Bristol locations, with a hybrid working policy. We’re looking for a Technology Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and product development within the Retail Media domain at Just Eat Takeaway.com. Retail Media drives significant revenue, and this new Data, Insights & Tooling team will lay the foundations for making customer data accessible and actionable—powering segmentation, dashboarding, and data products via our Customer Data Platform (CDP). The team will include analytics engineers, data scientists, and software engineers, working closely with our central Data & Analytics function to enable data activation across the JET ecosystem.
As Technology Manager, you’ll lead team culture, delivery, and individual development—ensuring strong performance, technical alignment, and impact. These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

- Technical roadmap: owning our roadmap, in collaboration with the product manager to ensure we’re prioritising the correct work/projects inline with our business objectives.
What will you bring to the table? Strong business acumen with the ability to align engineering efforts with company goals, ensuring our technical decisions are driving our businesses success. Prior experience as a people manager, with a servant leader mindset - you remove blockers, provide clarity and help the team deliver their best work. Having an opinion and not being afraid to challenge our senior leadership with the overall objective of delivering value. Strong problem solving skills. Experience of guiding engineering decisions via influence, rather than by authority. Comfort operating in environments with uncertainty and change, particularly when requirements and data are still evolving. Previous experience or an understanding of modern data stacks, data modelling and concepts like CDPs, audience segmentation and data activation.
