About this role
We are searching for a .NET Software Engineer to join the Customer Accounts Choice team here at Just Eat Takeaway! This position will play a critical role in enhancing our customers ability to personalise their ordering experience and retain customer trust, ultimately improving the customer experience.
As a Software Engineer within the Customer Accounts Choice team you will contribute by writing and operating scalable and testable code, collaborating with other Engineers and consistently striving for excellence. You’ll work closely with multiple teams, both internal and external, with inner-sourced development as our standard way of working. Ownership is one of the core Engineering principles at JET – we write it and we own it. Engineers take responsibility for their work from discovery to production, ensuring the ongoing reliability and stability of our systems.
Location: Hybrid- 3 days a week from JETs Bristol office & 2 days working from home
Reporting to: Technology Manager
These are some of the key components to the position:
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other cross technology Engineers to refine ideas and deliver innovative solutions across various team boundaries.
Actively contribute to the technical vision and roadmap for new initiatives within the team and across the wider business
Participate in the technical exploration and prototyping of new features and technologies, transforming ambiguous concepts into tangible software.
Adhere to JET-wide architecture best practice and contribute to improvements in team standards.
Build and maintain a strong network outside of your immediate team and across the organisation.
What will you bring to the team?
Demonstrable experience working with C#, .NET and an understanding of software architecture patterns.
Experience building and operating scalable, distributed backend systems.
Ability to clearly communicate with other engineering teams, influence the decision making process and reach consensus on the path to achieve results.
A high standard of technical writing skills to clearly execute the team\’s ideas and designs alongside peers
A proactive and adaptable mindset, with a passion for learning new technologies and a drive to explore innovative solutions
Experience working with cloud platforms and technologies such as AWS, Azure or GCP
Experience working with .NET Framework, Kubernetes and containerisation would be an advantage
