The Opportunity
The Golang Engineering role plays a critical part in connecting Grocery Partners with the Just Eat Takeaway platform. We are looking for engineers to take our integration platform to the next level whilst maintaining core functionality on which thousands of our partners depend.
Responsibilities
- Build new features in our core language, Golang
- Make key architectural decisions and help move the platform forward
- Support product and delivery teams
- Mentor and coach other team members
Qualifications
- A few years of commercial Golang experience
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Microservice / Event Driven Design – understanding the complexities with event driven design and how to best approach them (eg eventual consistency, transactions within a distributed system)
- A great communicator – comfortable explaining technical topics to non-technical audiences and \”working out loud\” (WOL)
- SRE focus on maintaining and improving production services
- Pair programming experience is a big plus
- Previous experience working in an international company is a plus
- Experience with React/Vue would be a plus
