Location: Hybrid- 3 days a week from our London or Amsterdam office & 2 days working from home.

About this role:

As a Senior Legal Counsel, you’ll become part of the group Legal Commercial - Partners and Consumers team. We are looking for a driven person with a primary focus on negotiating partnerships across multiple markets. This can include negotiating contracts, resolving disputes and providing strategic legal advice in relation to our restaurant, grocery, retail and loyalty partners. You’ll also have the opportunity to work on consumer and platform regulatory matters. Your leadership skills will be essential, as you will support a dynamic team of commercial lawyers, driving results and ensuring the team's high performance. In this role, you’ll deliver pragmatic, business-focused legal advice to the global JET business in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Your decisions will be critical to the continued expansion of our business, shaping how we secure strategic partnerships and deliver exceptional service to customers and partners.

• Be a legal business leader, partnering with key commercial teams such as global and local Sales and Marketing across global markets.
• Negotiate high-value strategic partnership contracts with top-tier branded restaurant groups, retail chains, and corporate clients.
• Take ownership of developing and implementing processes, systems, and training to streamline contract negotiations and empower the business to reach its goals.
• Work closely with a high-caliber legal team across multiple markets, while confidently making independent decisions and providing specialized legal expertise.
• Lead and inspire a talented team of lawyers, driving performance and supporting their professional growth.
• As a good communicator, you’re able to answer questions and present information in an easy-to-understand way, and you’ll take the lead in educating the business in a pragmatic and business-friendly way via self-serve tools and resources.

What will you bring to the table?

• Legal professional qualified in the UK, the Netherlands, or another common law jurisdiction, with proven relevant legal work experience (in private practice and/or in-house).
• A strong negotiator with proven experience in high-stakes commercial contract negotiations, preferably within consumer-facing or fast-paced business environments.
• Experience working in-house in the grocery, retail, mobility or travel sectors, or other consumer-facing industry would be a benefit.
• Expertise in Dutch and/or English contract law is preferred, while knowledge of contract law in other JET markets is advantageous.
• Demonstrated management experience with the ability to lead across teams and geographies, driving results and managing complex, high-value transactions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Additional languages such as German, Italian, Spanish, Polish or other European languages are a bonus.
