What are the requirements to deliver with Just Eat? To deliver with us, you’ll need:
- To be 18 years old or older
- An Apple or Android smartphone with data.
- A moped, bike or car – plus licence and the correct insurance
- No previous experience is needed – it’s one of the few truly accessible jobs without experience in the delivery sector.
How do I make money as a Just Eat Courier? Delivering with Just Eat means you will make money for each delivery. The courier app will send you delivery ‘offers’. You can review each of these offers and decide if you’d like to complete the delivery.
Do Just Eat Couriers need background checks? Safety is always our priority. Everybody who delivers is required to share an existing, or complete a new, criminal background and right to work (RTW) check. Completing a new check takes about 15 minutes. For new checks, you’ll receive an email from a company called Sterling.
Can I use my own equipment when I deliver for Just Eat? We have a range of equipment you can purchase for a very reasonable price depending on your needs – from jackets, helmets and of course our thermal bags to ensure food is delivered safely and correctly. There's no obligation to use Just Eat branded equipment. Feel free to use your own equipment in work; however, you must ensure that it meets our minimum safety requirements.
Do I need to submit my availability to deliver for Just Eat every week? Yes, we mainly operate a closed network. This is to help make sure we maintain a balance of couriers and orders. When things are busy, you might have the opportunity to jump on an “open run” and start delivering straight away.
My preferred Just Eat delivery zone is closed so I applied in a different one. Can I change to my preferred zone? Please only apply in the Just Eat zone you wish to deliver in. If your preferred zone is closed, we’re not able to transfer your account.
