About this role: You will be part of our Global Scoober Operations Data Analytics (SODA) team in Amsterdam. Scoober is the logistics delivery business in JET. Our delivery business plays a critical role in our future growth ambitions to empower every food and convenience moment. You will combine data-driven insights and business knowledge to support logistics operations to grow and continuously optimise the network from all perspectives, such as system features, courier recruitment and engagement, facility management, forecasting and planning. You create actionable dashboards, perform analyses and present crystal clear insights to stakeholders, so that your audience can adopt it in their daily work. As such, you use your superb communication skills in transmitting your passion for data to others.
Please note that this is a 12-month direct contract with the potential to become permanent afterwards, depending on results. This position is located in Amsterdam (3 days a week from our Amsterdam office and 2 days working from home).
These are some of the key components to the position:
- Business Partnership & Domain Expertise: Act as a dedicated data business partner for a specific logistics domain (e.g., courier performance, forecast & planning, network management). Proactively identify business questions, translate them into analytical problems, and use data insights to guide stakeholders toward smarter, data-informed strategic and operational decisions.
- Data transformation, Reporting: Contribute to the Data as a Product initiative which helps to keep data solutions unified, tech-debt free and easy-to-use, with a strong focus on understanding and implementing data governance principles to build sustainable solutions. Work on Looker dashboards with meaningful KPIs and metrics. Along with hands-on tasks for Tableau, Google BigQuery, Airflow and DBT.
- Collaborative Analysis: Engage with analysts from sub-teams leveraging insights to drive cross-functional strategies and decisions.
- Proactive team player: Lead well-defined assignments or participate in less defined assignments, shows enthusiasm for collaborating with others and participates in skill-sharing opportunities.
What will you bring to the team?
- Strong business acumen and impact focus - you understand the commercial drivers of the logistics business, focusing analyses on clear, measurable business impacts and outcomes.
- Proven and strong experience in Data Analysis/BI field, experienced in building and deploying dashboards using Looker or Tableau.
- Skilled in SQL, with the capability to write and execute complex queries, experience with Google BigQuery (GBQ), GitHub, Airflow, DBT.
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and ad-hoc analytical tasks.
- Effective communication skills with ability to present findings clearly to stakeholders, including non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable with ambiguity - able to navigate yourself in an unclear environment and refine the tasks.
- Ability to balance speed and accuracy - we work quickly but thoughtfully.
- Be intellectually curious and investigate where details and data take you.
- A kind, open, and collaborative team-player with a team-first mindset.
