The OpportunityWe are on the lookout for a proactive Senior Engineer with a strong engineering foundation to help drive our platform forward. You will bring your deep expertise in system architecture from day one, guiding the team and shaping the technical vision needed to build high-volume POS and menu integrations that keep global brands running smoothly.
Key Ingredients for the Role:
- Build, scale, and lead in Go: Architect, develop, and maintain robust, high-throughput microservices and complex features in Go.
- Drive system design and architecture: Lead the design and implementation of highly scalable solutions, shaping the wider integration architecture and steering technical discussions.
- Champion system health: Define observability standards and lead weekly signal channel reviews to proactively resolve production anomalies before they impact our partners.
- Elevate engineering standards: Mentor mid-level and junior engineers, lead collaborative debugging sessions for complex problems, and drive best practices across the engineering team.
- Collaborate across teams: Partner strategically with product and delivery teams to ensure our integrations roll out smoothly and reliably across international markets.
What Will You Bring to the Table?
- Extensive Go experience: 5+ years of substantial commercial experience writing clean, efficient, and testable code in Go.
- Architectural Event-Driven expertise: Deep knowledge in architecting microservices and event-driven systems, mastering complexities involving eventual consistency and distributed architecture.
- An SRE mindset: A strong focus on system reliability post-deployment, with a commitment to improving production services and incident response.
- AWS Cloud Services leadership: Advanced hands-on experience designing and deploying scalable systems using Amazon Web Services, including DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, and S3.
- AI-Assisted Development: Comfort in leveraging AI coding assistants and LLMs to accelerate workflow, architect scaffolding, and debug complex, distributed issues.
