We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior Data Engineer to join our User Behavior Analytics team of analysts, data engineers, and data scientists. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing petabytes of clickstream data and designing scalable solutions for the efficient use of big data within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) projects. Together with the team, you will be responsible for building and optimizing robust data pipelines and further scale the measurement datasets to turn them into actionable insights.
These are some of the key ingredients to the role:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on GCP for digital measurement data.
- Leverage Advanced SQL and Python to transform, optimize, and analyze large datasets.
- Build and orchestrate data workflows using tools like Apache Airflow, DBT.
- Apply basic ML and statistics (e.g., clustering, regression, classification) where helpful.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and system performance across the stack.
- Collaborate closely with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data solutions meet business needs.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance throughout the data lifecycle.

- Experience in data engineering or similar responsibilities.
- Proficiency in SQL and data modelling.
- Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in building and automating data workflows with tools such as Airflow, DBT etc.
- Familiarity with ML/statistics libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy.
- Comfortable using Git and following CI/CD principles.
- A natural collaborator with excellent communication skills - builds bridges.
