About this role
We’re hiring a highly motivated and commercial Global Account Executive to lead and grow a key portfolio of our global restaurant partnerships within the Central Commercial function at the global Just Eat Takeaway Headquarters. This is a high-exposure role where you will take full ownership of major global brands.
As the Global Account Executive, you will take full ownership of major global brands like Starbucks and Five Guys, driving their strategic growth and profitability across all of JET’s global markets. Additionally, you will play a critical supporting role on our largest, most strategic accounts, such as McDonald's and KFC, providing essential insight, analysis, and execution across smaller, high-growth markets.
This is a chance to build deep expertise, manage a diverse portfolio, gain international commercial experience and contribute directly to the success of JET's most important enterprise partnerships. You will lead commercial negotiations for your portfolio and support senior leaders on high-stakes negotiations for the largest global partners.
Your critical role will involve acting as the central point of contact between global partners and JET's local country teams, ensuring strategic alignment and effective communication across 17 markets. Your ability to manage commercial workstreams, drive execution, and foster strong relationships will be crucial in ensuring all commercial plans are viable and flawlessly implemented.
Your ability to deal with senior internal and external stakeholders will be crucial in cultivating and maintaining strong working relationships and driving partner growth. With your commercial acumen and negotiation support skills, you’ll ensure strategy is aligned and key growth initiatives are executed to deliver maximum value.
These are some of the key ingredients to the role:
- Partnership Leadership: Serve as the global commercial owner for your dedicated portfolio (e.g., Starbucks, Five Guys), developing and executing their strategic 1-3 year plan across all markets.
- Commercial Strategy & Execution: Lead commercial negotiations for your owned portfolio, and support senior leaders with preparation, modelling, and analysis for negotiations on the largest global accounts.
- Drive Commercial Growth: Drive key growth initiatives and identify new commercial opportunities, working closely with local market teams for flawless execution.
- Partnership Support: Provide critical support and analysis for the largest accounts (e.g., McDonald's, KFC), focusing on insight reporting and executing strategic initiatives in smaller, high-growth markets.
- Cross-Functional Influence: Collaborate with internal teams (Legal, Finance, Product, local Operations) to ensure commercial plans are viable and effectively implemented.
- Actionable Reporting: Track, measure, and report on account performance, translating data into clear, actionable commercial recommendations.
- Market Alignment: Act as the central point of contact, sharing best practices and commercial insights across global partners and markets while maintaining a hyper-local approach to growth.
What will you bring to the table?
- Commercial Acumen: Solid understanding of commercial drivers, highly numerate, and comfortable using performance data to build a compelling commercial story and practical business recommendations.
- Execution & Negotiation Support: Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a focus on execution. Experience supporting complex negotiations and managing multiple commercial workstreams simultaneously.
- Collaboration & Communication: Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the proven ability to build effective relationships across all functions and seniority levels, both internally and externally.
- Desired Experience: A minimum of 4+ years in a commercial, business development, or strategic account management role, ideally managing multi-market partnerships with large, global restaurant/retail/franchise brands.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in financial modelling and advanced data analysis is a strong plus.
- Drive & Autonomy: High energy and a proactive approach to managing a diverse portfolio with full ownership, thriving in an international, fast-paced commercial environment.
- Global Exposure: Proven experience in a global or multi-market business environment.
