You will work as part of the core Android team with a wide range of responsibilities. At times you will be involved in developing features in our apps, but within the core team there are also opportunities to be involved in configuring our CI system, driving the direction of architecture, helping improve and design our development process, and ensuring we can reliably release apps to the Google Play and Huawei app stores.
Your involvement spans the entire software development lifecycle, from liaising with product managers and UX designers to discussing solutions and enhancing our app module. This role also provides the opportunity to actively contribute to the vibrant engineering community at Just Eat.
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.
- Follow best practices and coding standards: Ensure software maintainability and performance.
- Review peer code: Ensure quality, security, and adherence to project guidelines, and incorporate feedback into your work.
- Debug and resolve software defects and issues: Identify, analyse, and fix bugs in a timely manner to ensure smooth software operation.
- Communicate effectively: Work with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand requirements and contribute to project planning.
- Contribute to continuous integration and deployment: Implement and/or contribute to improving CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes, ensuring reliable software delivery.
- Kotlin Android architecture: Work with MVI, MVVM and develop reusable, efficient, and readable software components.
- Integration and unit testing: Integration with server-side APIs in Microservices architecture.
