This is a critical role at the heart of an ambitious, customer-obsessed, world-leading technology company. This is a senior role to build customer facing recommendation/ranking algorithms within the Customer department. This specific role focuses on the Partner recommendations product which includes our home page ranking and recommendation systems. It would suit someone who is passionate about solving customer problems and loves working with data, who has extensive experience working with engineering and data science on ML challenges and is eager for more.

Algorithms are used to match customers to the right supply, guiding them to partners that will deliver a great experience and food they will love. They are used to shape demand to achieve operational/commercial goals and to optimise revenue by maximising spend and promoting sponsored restaurants and products. The work we do makes a tangible difference to our customers’ lives and to the success of our partners.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

  • Define and own product vision, strategy, and roadmap for ranking/recommendation systems.
  • Understand user behavior and identify improvement opportunities through data analysis and experimentation.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and engineering teams to translate requirements into algorithms.
  • Lead product discovery, including user research and competitive analysis.
  • Define and analyze KPIs to measure success and identify optimization areas.
  • Design and execute A/B tests to validate hypotheses and iterate on features.
  • Prioritize the product backlog and communicate product plans to stakeholders.

What will you bring to the table?

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager focused on data-driven products, particularly in ranking, recommendations, search, or personalization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and use data science or ML solutions.
  • Obsession for understanding and influencing user behavior and improving customer experience through data-driven decision making.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including growth and other product teams, engineers, analytics, and data scientists.
  • Comfort and proficiency in working with numbers and quantitative data, with familiarity with data analysis tools.
  • Experience with agile development environments and an understanding of Data Science model development.
