Ready for a challenge? Then Just Eat Takeaway.com might be the place for you. We’re a leading global online delivery platform, and our vision is to empower everyday convenience. Whether it’s a Friday-night feast, a post-gym poke bowl, or grabbing some groceries, our tech platform connects tens of millions of customers with hundreds of thousands of restaurant, grocery and convenience partners across the globe.

In Global Technology Platforms, our vision is to "Unleash intelligent simplicity to accelerate growth". We are looking for a Group Technical Product Manager (TPM) to lead the product team across Platform Engineering and Engineering Excellence (Developer Experience). Our mission is to create the best developer experience to drive innovation, scalability and operational excellence with our internal developer platform.

In this pivotal leadership role, you will act as a strategic enabler for growth, overseeing products and services across the whole software development lifecycle (SDLC) that aim to turbocharge innovation for over 1,000+ engineers globally. Through simplification, automation, machine learning, data and AI; you will empower our developers to achieve faster deployments and continuous innovation; which in turn will deliver value more quickly for our customers, partners and couriers.

These are some of the key components to the position:

  • Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for platform engineering initiatives and developer experience, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
  • Drive the strategy to transform the developer experience by reducing complexity and embedding AI into developer workflows to accelerate product engineering.
  • Own the internal marketing strategy to drive awareness, build advocacy and ensure large-scale adoption of platform tools among the engineering community.
  • Use data-driven insights to drive continuous improvements and optimise product decisions through OKRs.
  • Directly lead the discovery and execution of the department’s most ambiguous initiatives, navigating effective decision-making even when information is incomplete.

What will you bring to the team?

  • A razor-sharp user focus to deeply understand user (developer) needs. You must demonstrate empathy for their challenges and a passion for solving them.
  • While hands-on coding is not required, you must have a technical mindset and passion for technology. You understand how software is built, packaged and deployed (SDLC); and know how AI can solve our problems.
  • You can discuss technical directions with Engineers comfortably.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment, balancing user needs, business goals and technical constraints.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, or mentoring other Product Managers.
  • Experience measuring impact, defining what data is needed to prove success, and nurturing the importance of data in the product approach.
  • A proven track record of delivering large-scale programs requiring cross-team collaboration.
  • You are capable of bringing new ideas to life, evangelising products across a wider technology group, and tailoring the benefits to different groups of colleagues.
