Just Eat Takeaway is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Loyalty department’s Membership & Benefits team. We focus on building a customer-centric platform, working as a unified team to maintain stability while innovating at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize backend solutions on AWS, specifically deploying services on Amazon EKS and utilizing cloud-native services.
- Own the implementation of changes to our global vouchers solution to ensure a seamless experience for our customers.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to ensure software delivery is both efficient and reliable.
- Use Docker containers for application packaging and deployment across our global infrastructure.
- Design and optimize both NoSQL and SQL databases to ensure high performance for data storage and retrieval.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including product management and quality assurance, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Take ownership of specific workstreams, moving projects from the initial design phase through to production support.
Required Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of C# .NET and modern software engineering practices.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, specifically EKS, Lambda, and RDS.
- Proficiency in Docker and containerization technologies for application deployment.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, preferably GitHub Actions, to automate software delivery.
- Familiarity with messaging systems and event-driven programming, ideally using SQS/SNS.
- Knowledge of both NoSQL (preferably DynamoDB) and SQL databases for high-performance storage.
- Excellent communication skills and a preference for working in collaborative, Agile team structures.
- An interest in microservice architectures and building reliable, high-scale platforms.
