ROOFER
Job Advert — Reed
London & the Home Counties •£215–£325 a day (CIS), paid direct• Ongoing work
Pitched, flat and leadwork on mansion blocks and period buildings — the roofs other firms don’t get to touch.
THE ROLE
Just Does It is a West London building contractor specialising in the refurbishment of period and listed buildings. We are looking for a roofer to join JDI and our Restore Roofing teams on pitched and flat roofs across London and the Home Counties. This is height work and often leadwork: it carries a premium because it demands skill, care and a clean, watertight result first time.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Repair and renewal of pitched roofs — slate, tile and associated detailing.
- Flat roof systems — felt, single-ply and associated falls and upstands.
- Leadwork — flashings, valleys, gutters and bespoke detailing on period roofs.
- Diagnosing leaks and defects accurately and reporting them clearly.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Roofing NVQ Level 2 or demonstrable equivalent experience.
- CSCS card — blue (Skilled Worker) as a minimum.
- Proven experience on pitched and flat roofs; leadwork strongly preferred — most of our roofs are period buildings.
- Confident and safe working at height; relevant access tickets an advantage.
- Your own professional tools, full PPE, good spoken English.
WHY JDI
- £215–£325 a day depending on experience — paid direct, no agency in the middle.
- Incentive plans on top of base pay, reviewed twice yearly.
- Real work on real buildings — the kind of roofs you’ll be proud to point at.
- Steady work, organised sites — materials ready, instructions clear, payment on time.
