JDI
JUST DOES IT LIMITED
MULTI-TRADER
Job Description
ABOUT JDI
Just Does It is a building contractor working across West London and surrounding areas. We specialise in exterior refurbishment, flat roofing, leadwork, interior refurbishment and general maintenance including painting and decorating, on both commercial and domestic property. We work as a main contractor on a wide range of buildings, including many listed ones, and we work closely with surveyors and property managing agents to deliver work to a high, sustainable and professional standard.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a Multi-Trader to join JDI's teams across West London and surrounding areas, mostly on period buildings and mansion blocks. The core of the role is roof repairs, timber repairs, brickwork and pointing, with window and pipe repairs and site set-up around them. This is a skilled trade role, not labouring: foremen rely on you to get the building work done ahead of the decorators, and to turn your hand to whatever the job needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Roof repairs on pitched and flat roofs — slate and tile replacement and flat roof patch repairs.
- Timber repairs — splicing and replacing timber in doors, frames and mouldings.
- Brickwork and pointing — chopping out, raking out and repointing, and small brickwork repairs matched to the existing.
- Window and pipe repairs, so the decorators can follow on.
- Site set-up — welfare and enabling works, so the job starts on time.
- Keeping the work area clean and clearing up properly at the end of each day.
REQUIREMENTS
- NVQ (Level 2 minimum) in carpentry, bricklaying or roofing, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
- CSCS card — blue (Skilled Worker) as a minimum.
- Proven experience across roof repairs, timber repairs, brickwork and pointing — ideally on period buildings.
- Confident and safe working from scaffold; full driving licence, as the role comes with a company van.
- Your own professional tools for the trade.
- Full PPE, good spoken English, and clear communication on site.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
- Rates above market, paid direct — no agency in the middle.
- Incentive plans on top of base pay.
- Real work on real buildings — listed buildings, mansion blocks and period properties. The kind of work you'll be proud to point at.
- High standards, the right way. We do the job properly, finish what we start, and the standard of finish matters because the client is paying attention.
- Steady work, organised sites — materials ready, instructions clear, payment on time.
