About The Role
Are you able to work in an accurate and precise manner? Are you looking for a position in which you can contribute to the continued success of the standards and Certified Reference Material (CRM) production facility? Do you want to do this in an ambitious, fast-growing, international company with a friendly and inclusive culture? Then this might be your chance to become a part of our Analytical Services and Standards Production team!
In this role you will assist in the entire production process of standards and Certified Reference Materials (CRMs) used for the calibration and validation of Malvern Panalytical's X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometers.
What You’ll Be Doing
- The preparation of standards and CRMs, including weighing, splitting, pipetting, milling, pelletisation and fusion
- Analysis of standards and CRMs using primarily XRF spectrometry and gravimetric techniques
- Quality checking of standards and CRMs
- Packing and shipping of standards and CRMs
- General office and laboratory duties
- Health and Safety of self and others
About You
- Minimum A-level (or equivalent) in a scientific discipline, preferably with a chemistry or physics bias
- Must be able to follow laboratory SOPs
- Be methodical and cleanliness conscious
- Have a structured and logical approach
- Good problem-solving skills
- Good organizational skills
- Attention to detail and quality
- Work in an accurate and precise manner
- Good communication skills
Great to have?
- Previous experience of working in a laboratory
- COSHH, SDS and other Health and Safety system experience
