Need at least one years experience in a VCA\\n\\nWe are currently recruiting for A Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) positions at a friendly, well-equipped practice.\\n\\nš Working Hours\\n\\n * \\n\\n Approximately 40 hours per week\\n\\n * \\n\\n Preferably 4 days per week\\n\\n * \\n\\n 9:00am ā 7:00pm shifts\\n\\n * \\n\\n 30-minute unpaid lunch break\\n\\n𩺠Veterinary Nurse Responsibilities (Senior Nurse & RVN Roles)\\n\\n * \\n\\n Care of admitted patients and monitoring during and post-surgery\\n\\n * \\n\\n Assisting veterinary surgeons during procedures\\n\\n * \\n\\n Taking blood samples and placing intravenous catheters\\n\\n * \\n\\n Supporting minor procedures (e.g. dental descaling or areas of special interest)\\n\\n * \\n\\n Running and managing nursing clinics\\n\\n * \\n\\n Laboratory duties\\n\\n * \\n\\n Laundry duties including uniforms, bedding, and autoclaving instruments\\n\\n * \\n\\n Reception duties (up to 5 hours per week)\\n\\n * \\n\\n Accurate record keeping, including inpatient forms, anaesthetic records, and insurance documentation\\n\\nš¶ Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) Responsibilities\\n\\nThe VCA role is focused primarily on animal care and practice support, including:\\n\\n * \\n\\n Assisting nurses with patient restraint and recovery\\n\\n * \\n\\n Cleaning, maintaining hygiene standards, and general tidiness\\n\\n * \\n\\n Laundry duties\\n\\n * \\n\\n Laboratory support (sorting samples, running bloods)\\n\\n * \\n\\n Supporting the nursing team as required\\n\\n * \\n\\n Some reception duties\\n\\nš The Ideal Candidates\\n\\n * \\n\\n Passionate, proactive, and team-oriented\\n\\n * \\n\\n Comfortable working in a busy clinical environment\\n\\n * \\n\\n Strong attention to detail and high standards of patient care
